City crews will continue shaving off ruts today (sun) and over the next few days in a number of neighbourhoods throughout the city. The City says in a news release that 40 per cent of residential streets have been completed with crews working day and night since Thursday evening. Some streets that were too narrow to access will be re-scheduled for some time soon and no-parking signs will be posted in advance. Today, 26 graders will finish neighbourhoods that weren’t completed last night (sat). Below is the list of neighbourhoods set to have rut shaving done in the coming days:

Important messages for residents:

1. All residential streets in these neighbourhoods will have rut shaving.
2. Grader operators will go around parked vehicles but we encourage people to move them if there is off-street parking available.
3. As graders shave off the top layers of ruts the snow will be stored in the parking lane.
4. If a street is too narrow due to parked vehicles, it will be skipped and be scheduled for another day. Watch for No Parking signs with an upcoming date for grading.
5. Completed streets will be inspected within 24 hours and repairs will occur within a few days where a snow ridge extends across a driveway and is more than 15 centimetres (6 inches) deep.
