Saskatoon Police say officers responded to St. Paul’s Hospital Emergency nine minutes after midnight Monday after receiving a call about a man with a device.

The Police Service says the report from their officers indicates the device was a replica grenade.

Media reports indicate the individual was taken into custody by hospital security before police arrived.  He was then transported to RUH to be assessed.
