The City of Saskatoon is reminding residents to drive carefully today (sun). Plus temperatures yesterday (sat) resulted in some melting, followed by a drop in temperatures overnight which will make some streets and sidewalks slippery today (sun). City crews will be using sanders with de-icing material as needed and then sand to provide traction at high-traffic locations. In total, 18 sanders will be out to help provide traction for motorists. Rut shaving in back lanes and on skipped streets will continue during the day with crews removing snow on priority streets at night.
On Friday, the City issued a PSA advising residents to walk like penguin. The City says doing so can help prevent a fall.
