The Saskatchewan RCMP have laid charges in connection to a death investigation which began last August. Around 11 in the evening on August 7th, Broadview, Esterhazy and Moosomin RCMP officers responded to a report of an injured person in a vehicle at a business on the Cowessess First Nation. A teenaged boy from the First Nation was pronounced dead at the scene.
Twenty-one year old Kyla Gambler, also from the Cowessess First Nation, is charged with one count each of dangerous driving causing death and criminal negligence causing death, and two counts each of dangerous driving causing bodily harm and criminal negligence causing bodily harm. She appears in Broadview Provincial Court on April 6th.
