The University of Saskatchewan is hosting a memorial gathering for victims from Keeseekoose First Nation today (thurs). It is a virtual gathering and it takes places from 2:30 till 3:30.
Recently the Keeseekoose First Nation revealed that ground penetrating radar had 54 hits at two residential schools; 42 were found on the Fort Pelly site and 12 were found at St. Philips.
The organizers of the memorial say the communities must prepare for more findings and there needs to be support for the communities as they go through their healing process. Attendees are encouraged to wear their Orange Shirt signifying Every Child Matters.
Keeseekoose gathering:
Date: Thursday, February 24
Time: 2:30-3:30 pm
