There was a significant police presence in the 200 block of Avenue S North early this morning after officers responded to a report of gunshots.
The call came in at 2:47 a.m. and patrol members, the Tactical Support Unit and Crisis Negotiation Team were dealing with the ongoing situation.
Residents in the area were being asked to remain inside their homes or avoid the area.
Saskatoon Police issued an update shortly after 5 this morning saying a male is in custody and charges are pending. Police are still on scene however there is no longer a threat to public safety and traffic is no longer being restricted.
