A 32 year old man wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant is in custody after Regina Police say he evaded officers and rolled the vehicle he was driving. Around 4:30 Monday morning, patrol officers responded to a single vehicle rollover on 17th Avenue East and Park Street. It was reported to police that several people fled from the vehicle after the accident.
One woman was taken to hospital with what were believed to be non life threatening injuries. A police dog team was called in to track those who fled, and one man was arrested nearby. Two more, a male and female, were tracked to a home in the 2600 block of Lacon Street.
Police report that the man refused to provide any information at the time of his arrest. Officers allege the vehicle had evaded police several hours earlier and had driven on the wrong side of the road towards a police vehicle before fleeing.
Thirty-two year old Daniel Moar of Regina is charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm, obstructing a peace officer and two counts of driving while prohibited. Moar also had a Canada Wide Warrant for his arrest for breach of statutory release.
