The price of gas has risen dramatically this week. It started off at around $1.58.9, and was at $1.68.9 yesterday (Tues), and now there are reports of at least one gas station at $1.78.9. in Saskatoon at mid-day Wednesday.
This, as the price of West Texas Intermediate Oil has gone down. At mid-day, it was down $13.81 at $109.89 U.S. a barrel.
Earlier this week, the head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, Patrick De Haan, noted that the country has never been in this situation before with this level of uncertainty in light of sanctions against Russia, which is a major global oil producer.
