The 28 year-old woman charged in relation to the September 9th fatal accident involving nine-year-old Baeleigh Emily Maurice will make her first court appearance in Saskatoon on April 12th.

The accident happened around nine in the morning in the 600 block of 33rd Street West when Baeleigh was riding her scooter to Mayfair Community School.

Following toxicology results and an opinion from Crown Prosecutors, Saskatoon Police charged the driver with impaired driving while exceeding the prescribed blood-drug concentration of THC causing death.

The women’s name hasn’t been released.
