The provincial NDP says the government needs to create a strategy to boost teacher staffing levels and student supports.
Education critic Matt Love says students were struggling prior to COVID-19 and now need additional support to get back on track.
The NDP says there were 352 fewer teachers and 330 full-time support positions in 2021-22 compared to the previous year.
At this same time, the number of Saskatchewan students enrolled in K-12 classes rose by 1,612.
