Milestone RCMP are currently on the scene of a train derailment near the community of Rouleau.

RCMP say there were no injuries reported and the derailment, which is on CP Rail line, did not occur at a level crossing.

Highway #39 is expected to be closed for several hours as the scene is cleared and drivers are asked to check the Highway Hotline for up-to-date information before travelling in the area.

Motorists can expect delays in this area and are asked to follow the direction of officers at the scene. As a reminder, when passing emergency workers, the speed limit is 60 kilometres per hour.

Rouleau is approximately 50 kilometres southwest of Regina.
