Saskatoon Police have arrested a 33-year-old man following an incident in the city’s Varsity View neighbourhood this morning (sat). At 7:19, police received a call indicating a man was walking in the area of the 1300 block of Elliot Street with a firearm and pointed it at the caller. The suspect attempted to flee the scene on foot when police arrived. According to a police news release, the suspect travelled through multiple backyards and hid the gun prior to being arrested without further incident. Officers along with assistance from the K-9 unit were able to locate a sawed-off rifle. The 33-year-old will see a Justice of the Peace Saturday night.
