A 54 year old man is facing drugs and firearm-related charges in connection to a search warrant at a home in Bjorkdale. Tisdale RCMP executed the warrant on March 16th and report seizing over 250 grams of meth, 237 hydromorphone pills, drug trafficking paraphernalia and a sum of cash, along with a loaded prohibited firearm and ammunition.

The charges for Rudi Betthel include possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and unlicensed possession of a prohibited weapon knowing it is unauthorized. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. There is no picture available at this time.

He is described as 5’10” with a medium build, brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information is asked to call the police or report a tip anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
