A Regina man is facing charges after an investigation into a stolen truck.

Regina Police say on Thursday night at around 9:10, a member of the canine unit spotted a vehicle that was reported stolen earlier in the day.

Police say in a news release the lone male occupant of the truck travelled to the southern part of the city. A tire deflation device was used, although the vehicle carried on before coming to a stop in a parking lot near Saskatchewan Drive and Broad Street.

The driver was arrested without incident. 27-year-old Breland Louison is facing charges including possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

He made his first court appearance Friday.
