A fifth person has been arrested and charged in connection to an R-C-M-P investigation into weapons trafficking in the town of Battleford.

Thirty-two-year-old Adam Morin of Glaslyn will make his first apprearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on April 25th to face four counts of transfer a firearm knowing he was not authorized to do so, one count of possession of a firearm knowing that the serial number on it had been altered and/or defaced, three counts of unsafe storage of a firearm and four counts of possession of a restricted firearm at a place other than where he was entitled to possess it under the Firearms Act. Morin was arrested by the Saskatchewan R-C-M-P’s North Battleford Provincial General Investigation Section, with the help of officers from the Turtleford-
Glaslyn detachment, following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Glaslyn on March 24th. Three semi-automatic handguns were seized at that time. The initial investigation started March 18th with a report of unwanted persons inside a residence in Battleford that led to three adults and one youth being arrested and charged, plus the seizure of four firearms, including two semi-automatic handguns.
