SCHEDULE FOR THURSDAY, MARCH 31
The Canadian Under-21 Junior Women’s and Junior Men’s Curling Championships continue today and run through tomorrow in Stratford, Ontario. In both gender divisions, preliminary round-robin play is done with the top three from each pool advance to the playoffs. On the Junior Women’s side, Saskatchewan is represented by the Madison Kleiter foursome from Saskatoon-Sutherland. They finished the round-robin with 5 wins, 3 losses…good for 4th place in Pool B, but didn’t qualify for the playoffs.
In the Junior Men’s division, Saskatchewan had two teams taking part…the Daymond Bernath quartet from Saskatoon-Sutherland is Saskatchewan #1 while the Nathan Pomedli squad from Saskatoon-Nutana is Saskatchewan #2. Saskatchewan #1 finished the round-robin with 7 wins, 1 loss…good for 1st place in Pool A and advanced to the playoffs with a bye to tomorrow morning’s semi-finals. Saskatchewan #2 ended up with 5 wins, 3 losses…good for 4th place in Pool B, but didn’t qualify for the playoffs.

Moose Jaw has 35 wins, 22 losses, 5 extra time losses for 75 points…good for 4th place in the East.
The Prince Albert Raiders are off until tomorrow when they host the Brandon Wheat Kings. Game time is 7 p.m. at the Art Hauser Centre. P-A has 25 wins, 32 losses, 5 extra time losses for 55 points…good for 9th place in the Eastern Conference. Brandon has 30 wins, 25 losses, 5 extra time losses for 65 points…good for 6th place in the East.
