The Saskatoon Police Service says there is a heavy police presence at Leif Erickson Place. Traffic restrictions are in place on Rusholme Road between Avenue P North and Avenue M North.

The public is asked to avoid the area which also extends to Bedford Road between McMillan Avenue and Avenue M North.

Officers believe a suspect in a residence, in the area, may have a firearm. Schools in the area have also been notified.
