Regina Police say a 32 year old man was arrested and charged after months of investigation into drug trafficking and possession of stolen property.

Police say a suspect was identified and a search warrant was executed on a rented garage in the 2700 block of Atkinson Street as well as the suspect’s vehicle.

This past Sunday the suspect was arrested for driving while prohibited and the search of the garage lead to police seizing three firearms which included a sawed off shot gun a .243 rifle and a .22 rifle as well as ammunition, an air gun pistol, a stolen motorcycle, various pieces of identification which didn’t belong to the suspect, drugs and items commonly used in drug trafficking.

Kirk Carmichael Szakacs of Regina is facing at least a dozen weapons and drug charges.
