The Saskatoon Blades are expected to ice the exact same 20-man line-up Wednesday night as in Tuesday night’s 4-0 victory in Medicine Hat when they take on the Hurricanes in Lethbridge this evening. That hasn’t happened all that often this season for the Bridge City Bunch who are up to an unofficial 235 man-games lost to injury and/or illness this season. A win tonight would vault the Blue and Gold past Moose Jaw into fourth place in the Eastern Conference. The Warriors will have two games in hand after tonight. As for the Canes, they are in seventh place, which is a post-season berth, but they aren’t clinched as of yet, so tonight is a big game for them to win as well, something that Saskatoon head coach Brennan Sonne is well aware of…..
A win tonight with Nolan Maier in goal would give the 20-year-old the W-H-L career victories record for goaltenders on his own. The broadcast starts at 6:30 on CJWW with the play-by-play at 7. After tonight, the Blades return home to host a rested and desperate Prince Albert Raiders squad on Friday.
