Warman RCMP say the 30 year old woman who died in the accident on April 9th on Highway 12 was pregnant. Warman officers and a Saskatchewan RCMP Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate.
As police reported previously, an officer noticed an SUV driving erratically and tried to stop it, but it sped off and the officer lost sight of it. When the Jeep Grand Cherokee was located, it had collided with a Toyota SUV. Police now report that the Jeep was driving on the wrong side of the highway when the accident happened. The woman driving the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger received non life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Jeep was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries, and there is no update on his condition or identity. Police say the investigation is complex and ongoing, and no charges have been laid.
