A Saskatoon family is expressing horror and disappointment with the response from Saskatchewan’s Health Minister when it comes to waiting for a necessary procedure before surgery.

On Tuesday, Brennon Dulle and his wife Gillian traveled from Saskatoon to Regina to explain to the Legislature that he is unsure when he will be able to receive brain surgery. It’s a third surgery, but requires a pre-op procedure that has been delayed by surgical backlogs and staffing shortages in the province. Health Minister Paul Merriman (pictured) offered to meet the Dulle family and says the pandemic forced “difficult decisions” to slow down the level of healthcare service typically provided. The Dulle family is hoping to hear some kind of plan to address Brennon’s situation.
