The Nipawin Fire Department recently rescued a dog that was trapped in a well.

In a Facebook post, the fire department says they responded to an acreage west of Love, Saskatchewan to rescue the dog on April 7th.

A firefighter was able to climb down a roof ladder and sling a large tow strap under the pooch while other responders pulled her out.

The post says the dog was quite happy to go for a brisk run once brought back to the surface.
