An adult male and a male youth have been arrested, charged and appeared in court as a result of a Sunday search warrant executed by RCMP. Officers from the Cut Knife detachment located and seized an illegally-modified firearm from a residence on the Little Pine First Nation as part of an ongoing investigation. Fifty-four-year-old John Sokwaypnace and the male youth, who cannot be identified as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act, lived at the residence and were arrested. They face multiple charges and appeared Tuesday in North Battleford Provincial Court.
