Among the dozen break and enter incidents under investigation in the past week in North Battleford was a B&E involving a vehicle.
North Battleford RCMP say it took place in the 100 block of 22nd Street in Battleford shortly before 5 a.m. on Monday. Suspect(s) appear to have rammed a black pick up truck into the front door to gain entry. Police believe three suspects are involved and the matter remains under investigation.
A traffic stop on Sunday at 1:25 a.m. led to the arrest a 19 year old man. RCMP say a vehicle was seen travelling in excess of twice the legal speed limit in North Battleford. The driver is in court in May charged with Dangerous Driving, Impaired Driving and Driving while over .08.
Meantime, the Saskatoon Police Service Traffic Unit says there is little you could do to avoid a serious collision at Attridge Drive near Central Avenue if you are doing twice the speed limit.
And that is what officers clocked one driver doing in the area Tuesday. Police stopped a motorist for travelling 120 kilometres an hour. The driver was fined $910 and his car was impounded for a week.
