The last update from RCMP indicated that a large scale search was continuing for 5 year old Frank Young in and around Red Earth Cree Nation.
An RCMP plane with a thermal camera was to conduct an aerial search of the area yesterday.
Investigators continue to ask anyone who sees any sign of Frank to call 911 or call the Carrot River RCMP immediately at 306-768-1200
Sgt. Richard Tonge of the Carrot River RCMP says, “It’s cold and snowy and this is a very young child, so we are very concerned. The Saskatchewan RCMP and partner agencies, together with the local community, continue to tirelessly search for Frank.”

The search and rescue teams as well as volunteers and RCMP have searched the community where Frank was seen on Tuesday as well as a large rural area outside of the the Red Earth Cree Nation which includes heavily treed areas as well as bodies of water. Their efforts include using everything from all-terrain vehicles and boats to thermal imaging, on-foot grid searches and more.
Frank Young was last seen wearing Paw Patrol rubber boots, green pajamas with dinosaurs on them and a navy blue windbreaker-style jacket at his home on the First Nation around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. He was possibly seen at a local playground around 3:30 p.m. The RCMP says their investigation to date does not indicate an abduction has occurred and the criteria for an Amber Alert have not been met which is why an Amber Alert has not been issued.
