The Rolling Thunder convoy to Ottawa didn’t become the long encampment that the Freedom Convoy did in February. The final event was a church service. Police launched an investigation into vandalism, because graffiti targeting the demonstrators was found on the church building.
Participants began arriving in Ottawa Friday afternoon, bringing large crowds the downtown area, where people were still guarded because of the three-week-long Freedom Convoy occupation.
On Sunday, the Ottawa Police Service posted on social media that over the first two days of the demonstration, 761 parking tickets had been handed out, 39 vehicles towed and ten tickets for everything from noise, to smoking to public urination.
