Prince Albert’s Police Chief is calling for volunteers to join a new Women’s Commission to guide the police service. Chief Jonathan Bergen says community members have been calling for a Women’s Commission to act as special advisors. He says, “Women are compassionate and resilient leaders and I value their advice on issues affecting policing.”
It’s an opportunity to hear ideas and perspectives that can influence the Prince Albert Police Service’s direction and build on efforts to strengthen relationships. Anyone interested to join the commission as a special advisor to the Chief of Police is asked to submit a letter outlining their experience and interest in participating on the committee. Expressions of interested can be emailed to Chief Jonathan Bergen at jbergen@papolice.ca.
The last women’s commission was about four years ago.
