Higher interest rates and a lack of inventory are the main weights dragging down the housing market in Saskatchewan.
The latest numbers from the Saskatchewan Realty Association show a drop in new listings, down 18 per cent compared to last April. Sales province-wide dropped to 1,547 in April, down from April of last year. In Saskatoon, sales dropped 13 per cent in April, compared to April, 2021. There were far fewer units put on the market last month as well.
