The trial for two people charged with first degree murder in the death of 20 year old Allan Douglas Garrioch of Humboldt began on Monday and is scheduled for 19 days. On February 25th of 2020, RCMP were called to a home in Humboldt.
Police report that a woman told them she was the victim of a home invasion and her boyfriend Allan Garrioch, who also went by the surname Glasier, had been kidnapped. Investigators conducted a number of searches in the RM of Bayne and human remains were discovered in the area.
Forty-four year old Steven Veilleux and 23 year old Tristan Daniel Morrison face charges that include first degree murder , indignity to a body, and kidnapping while using a firearm. Five people have been charged in connection to Garrioch’s death, but there is a publication ban on their names during this trial.
