After notifying the public that the Trans-Canada just outside of Sintaluta would be shut down most of Friday, Indian Head RCMP further explained this weekend it was an investigation into the death of a pedestrian.
RCMP are asking the public for help in finding out what happened after a deceased man was found in the eastbound passing lane three kilometres west of Sintaluta. Their investigation indicates the man was hit on Thursday evening.
The pedestrian was wearing dark clothes, a red hoodie and a blue backpack and has been identified as a 41 year old man from Manitoba.
The RCMP were in the process of locating his family to notify them.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen him deceased or alive between 8 p.m. Thursday night and 6 o’clock Friday morning to contact the Indian Head RCMP.
