Today (Thurs) is Bike to Work Day. Commuter stations set up by local organizations and businesses will be serving refreshments and snacks for people biking during the morning (7a-9a) and afternoon (4p-6p) commutes.
The City says if you live too far away to ride your bike to instead consider taking Saskatoon Transit part of the way. All buses are equipped with front bike racks that are free and easy to use.
The 2022 BYXE Week features many activities and events are planned throughout the week, including the return of in-person commuter stations today after the hiatus from the pandemic. The City says in a news release that cycling is a convenient and low-cost form of everyday transportation that benefits Saskatoon by decreasing traffic congestion, noise and air pollution.
