The camping season officially opens up today (Thurs). The Saskatchewan government says the season opens on the heels of another successful campsite reservation launch. Daily and weekly park entry permits can be purchased online and printed at home before you visit the campground you’ve chosen. If you’ve purchased an annual entry permit but it hasn’t been delivered yet, you can get a temporary permit by email that can be printed and displayed in your vehicle until the permanent permit arrives in the mail.
When campers get to the park, as long as the entry permit is displayed just proceed directly to your campsite – you’ll automatically be checked in. There is an alcohol and recreational cannabis ban will be in effect for the May long weekend. Cottages, rental cabins and any business facilities serving liquor in licensed establishments in parks are not affected by the ban.
