A four-unit building in Saskatoon’s Confederation Suburban Centre suffered significant fire damage after a blaze early this morning.
Multiple 911 calls came in at 1:28 a.m. and when firefighters arrived to the 200 block of Camponi Place they saw a large fire in two of the units. A second alarm was sounded which brought in additional engines and another ladder truck.
Multiple fire crews searched the building for occupants and to ensure the fire didn’t spread. The fire was contained to the initial two units and was declared extinguished seven-hours-and-twenty-minutes later.
No one was injured in the fire and the fire investigator has estimated damage at $700,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
