Discussions are continuing behind closed doors as the CFL and the Players’ Association continue to haggle over a new contract.
The players rejected a tentative deal reached last Wednesday—but there are reports the CFL has put a new offer on the table.

Rider’s player representative kicker Brett Lauther says Tuesday’s practice was a sign of good faith on the players behalf.
“Missing more time and games isn’t good for anybody in this league and we know that,” he told reporters after the morning practice at Griffiths Stadium. “At the end of the day, if we can come out for a day or two until they figure it out that’s fine.”
Two outstanding concerns remain the Canadian ratio and the revenue sharing model.

Riders Head Coach Craig Dickenson says it was business as usual on Tuesday.
‘We know there is stuff going on behind closed doors and we respect the process and we just keep rolling on,” he said. “We had meetings last night and practice this morning was really good.”
The Riders will continue to prepare for the Green and White game, which is slated for Saturday in Saskatoon. The first preseason game in Regina is scheduled for May 31 against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Mosaic Stadium in Regina. More details are in the Rider Report.
