On August 21, 20 year old Wesley Custer was brought to the Shellbrook Hospital with serious injuries and died shortly afterwards. RCMP have arrested three people in relation to the homicide investigation into Custer’s death.
On May 19th, Saskatchewan RCMP’s Crime Reduction Team and Warrant Enforcement Suppression Team arrested Evan Ledoux on outstanding charges from the Prince Albert Police Service and Ahtahkakoop RCMP. Two days later, the 34 year old was arrested at the Prince Albert Correctional Centre and charged with manslaughter in relation to Custer’s death.
On May 22nd, 42 year old Curtis Ledoux was arrested, also at the Prince Albert Correctional Centre, and charged with accessory after the fact to murder. Then on Wednesday, 23 year old Tyson Lachance was arrested at the Saskatoon Correctional Centre and charged with second degree murder.
Evan Ledoux is also facing charges from Ahtahkakoop RCMP which include aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats in relation to an assault investigation from May 6th where a woman was found injured on the Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation and was transported to hospital.
