The executive of the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations extends condolences to the family, friends, community and colleagues of Traditional Knowledge Keeper Rick Favel. FSIN Chief Bobby Cameron says Favel was an important advocate for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and for Every Child Matters.
He was also instrumental in establishing culture within the First Nations University of Canada and All Nations Healing Hospital. Cameron adds that Favel was well respected by all who knew him in the circles at Regina Treaty/Status Indian Services, File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council and the FSIN.
