Three men have been arrested and charged after an investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service Drug Unit into trafficking of firearms and drugs.
Last Friday, a week ago, members of the Tactical Support Unit, took part in executing search warrants at multiple addresses in the city including the 100 block of Isabella Street East, 700 block of Appleby Drive, and 1900 block of 7th Street East.
Through the investigation police have seized, one loaded 9 mm Taurus PT111 G2 restricted handgun; 51 rounds of 9 mm ammunition, more than 399 grams of cocaine packaged for street-level distribution 7,361 grams of buffing agent which is used to cut opioids, $5,485 in Canadian currency, 10 mobile phones, two vehicles and assorted paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
Three men, age 33, 34, and 44, are facing a combination of charges relating to firearms, trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of the proceeds of crime under $5000.
