Saskatchewan RCMP reported no homicides among 7,339 calls for service between May 30 and June 5, according to their weekly update issued Monday.
That means there have been nine homicides attended to by Saskatchewan RCMP officers in 2022. The weekly report added that this past Saturday, June 4, was the busiest for calls for service with 1,297. A further breakdown of the calls for service for the week showed 87 reports of impaired drivers, 19 sexual assaults, four reports of other sexual crime, 228 assaults, 57 assaults causing bodily harm and nine aggravated assaults. In addition, there were four reports of robbery, 12 firearms offences, five kidnapping or forcible confinement incidents and 145 instances of harrassment and/or uttering threats. Plus, the weekly report noted 89 break and enters with 56 of them to residences, 269 thefts with 39 being motor vehicles and 567 incidents of mischief with 148 involving damage to property.
