Two high school students from Weyburn are among nine groups from across Canada to be named finalists in the “My Money, My Future Challenge” competition.
Sydney Keating and Aimee Jones is the lone Saskatchewan finalist based on their submission of a board game called, “Uncertain Values.” The game teaches players how to finance their debts, the consequences of making bad financial decisions and the impacts it can have on your mental health. The “My Money, My Future Challenge” competition includes several cash prizes with $10-thousand to the winner. The competition is organized by the Canadian Foundation for Economic Education, in partnership with C-I-B-C with the winners to be announced on June 16th when the finalists’ projects will be showcased.
