The province’s public offering of Crown petroleum and natural gas rights held on Tuesday raised over $2.9-million in revenue, which is a $2.4-million increase from the June offering last year. Revenue from the June and April sales reached $22.2-million, exceeding the $15-million raised in total in the last fiscal year. Of the 70 parcels posted in the June public offering, 53 received acceptable bids.
The Estevan area saw the most interest, bringing in over $2.-6 million for 38 parcels. The June sale is the second of six oil and gas public offerings scheduled for this fiscal year.
