For the first time in two years , the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay For Life is back to being an in person event, raising funds.to support research and a national, compassionate support system for those diagnosed with cancer. It’s this Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Henk Ruys Soccer Centre in Saskatoon, and although it’s a shorter version than the previous overnight events, it will include all the highlights.
That includes teams walking around the track, a Lap of Hope which begins the event to honour those who have survived their cancer diagnosis and when the lights are turned off, there will be a Luminary Ceremony. Luminaries can be bought in honour of someone and they will be placed around the track. If you would like to donate or purchase a luminary in honour of someone, click here.
