Today (sat) will be a busy day in Regina as the Queen City Pride Parade takes over the streets of downtown prior to tonight’s (sat) Rider home opener at Mosaic Stadium against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
With that comes a number of traffic restrictions and disruptions.
Regina Police say traffic flow on 15th Avenue, Albert Street and Victoria Avenue may be affected during the duration of the parade which starts at 12 noon.
None of the parade route streets will entirely be closed to vehicles, however traffic will be restricted as the parade travels in one of the driving lanes.
Around Mosaic, beginning at 2 o’clock, there will be no traffic allowed on the 1500, 1600 and 1700 blocks of Elphinstone Street.
Police are asking motorists and pedestrians to follow directions, have patience and to be courteous to other road users of the road.
Below is the parade route for the Queen City Pride Parade.
Starting at 12:00 noon, on 15th Avenue and Lorne Street;
North on Lorne Street to Victoria Avenue;
West on Victoria Avenue to Albert Street;
South on Albert Street to Legislative Drive;
East on Legislative Drive and into the Legislative Grounds for the rest of the events.
