The Saskatchewan Roughriders are on their way to Montreal with four line-up changes for Thursday’s game against the Alouettes.
Veteran centre Dan Clark was placed on the six-game injured list after breaking his fibula in Saturday’s victory in Edmonton. Rookie Logan Bandy will start in his place while Jamal Campbell comes on the roster as the sixth offensive lineman. Other changes see Duke Williams coming back onto the roster after sitting out the Edmonton contest with an ankle injury, but veteran rush end Charleston Hughes is out. He’s on the one-game injured list, joined by import defensive back Damon Webb and Canadian receiver Bruno Labelle. Defensive lineman Keion Adams is on the roster along with Canadian defensive back Malcolm Lee.
Meanwhile, wide receiver Jake Wieneke and linebacker Chris Ackie have each been placed on the injured list by Montreal and ruled out for Thursday. Wieneke is dealing with a hamstring issue and Ackie an ankle injury. In addition, wide receiver Eugene Lewis, defensive end Nick Usher and guard Philippe Gagnon are all listed as questionable. The Als are already without quarterback Vernon Adams Junior due to a case of COVID-19. The Alouettes are 0-2 to begin the season but have lost by just four combined points, while the Green and White are 2-0.
