The common denominator for the Canada West Conference, as they release schedules for the 2022-23 season, is a return to full schedules as the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic slowly, but surely clear off.
Women’s soccer will play 14 matches while the men get either 14 or 16 tilts in. Women’s and men’s hockey will go back to 28-game seasons from 20 while women’s and men’s basketball have 20 games each, including many match-ups that haven’t been held in three years. For Huskie Athletics, the women’s soccer team opens their season August 26 at home to Winnipeg while the men begin the next day at home against Lethbridge. The Saskatchewan women’s hockey team opens on the road against Trinity Western on September 30 while the Huskie men’s hockey squad welcomes Trinity Western to Merlis Belsher Place that same day. Plus, the P-A-C will see the U of S basketball teams entertain Mount Royal to start the 2022-23 season on November 4.
