The Saskatchewan Water Security Agency say the public should avoid waterways in the Saskatoon, Weyburn, Sedley, Stockholm, Rocanville and Whitewood areas.
All the communities experienced flooding on Monday following heavy rainfall which forced them to bypass their sewage facilities to avoid a potential overload situation.
Municipalities are required to work with the Water Security Agency to reduce any potential health risks for downstream users.
At this point, no drinking water advisories have been issued but the monitoring will continue.
