What was initially described as an attempted murder case is now Regina’s fourth homicide of 2022.
Thirty-year-old Lori Shannon Huntinghawk of Regina passed away on June 6 from her injuries following a May 23 incident.
Twenty-four-year-old Tegan Lestat Laplante and 34-year-old Ashley Rempel, both of Regina, are both charged with first degree murder and made their first appearances on the new charges in Provincial Court on Thursday.
riginally, they were charged with aggravated assault and attempted murder, arrested following an investigation by the Regina Police Service after officers found Hungtinghawk seriously injured in the 1200 block of Garnet Street at about 2 a.m. on May 23.
