Shortly after 8 o’clock Friday morning, Wadena RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 35 and Highway 5 in Wadena.
Responding officers provided first aid to the two drivers who were the sole occupants of their vehicles. They were taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation has revealed a half-ton pick-up truck and a car collided when the car travelling west on Highway 5 drove through the intersection at a high rate of speed without stopping for the stop sign.
EMS crews, STARS Air Ambulance and Wadena Fire all assisted police at the scene.
