Regina Police say the vehicle wouldn’t pull over when they tried to stop a City of Regina pickup truck that was stolen.

This was shortly before 12:30 Saturday morning and the truck sped eastbound on Victoria Avenue. Police stopped pursuit due to the speed and moments later the truck collided with another vehicle at Victoria Avenue near Embury Street.

The suspect took off on foot but officers located and arrested 39-year-old Kyland Bowman who is facing not only charges in relation to the theft of the vehicle but dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, flight from a peace officer and failure to stop after an accident that results in bodily harm.

The driver of the the vehicle which was hit had to be extracted by the Regina Fire Department and was taken to hospital by EMS where he remains with serious injuries.
