Three people were killed when two ATVs collided near the northern community of Dillon.

The call came in to emergency services at 11:13 pm July 1st.

A 44 year old woman, and two men, ages 21-years-old and 24-years-old were all killed in this crash on highway 925, just outside of Dillon.

Nurses from the Buffalo River Dene Nation Health Centre were on scene providing first aid to those involved in the collision.  The Dillon Fire Department responded to deal with the ATVs which were on fire when emergency personnel arrived and additional officers from Buffalo Narrows were also called to assist with traffic control.

A second woman was taken to hospital in Île-à-la-Crosse for what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries.

Police and the coroners service are investigating. Dillon is located approximately three hours north of Meadow Lake.
