Wakaw RCMP say there were multiple reports of a robbery in progress at the pharmacy on the 100 block of 1st Street in Wakaw.
The calls came in at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and RCMP say two men had entered the pharmacy armed with bear spray and left with an undisclosed amount of prescription medication. Witnesses say they got into a vehicle driven by a female and left heading northbound on 1st Avenue.
The pharmacy was open at the time of the robbery and no customers or staff were hurt.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area or lives or works in the 100 block of 1st Street in Wakaw to check any photos, video or security camera footage captured between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on July 2nd. The suspects are described as black, adult males who were tall with thin builds. Witnesses say they spoke with accents and were both wearing masks. The female driving the get-away vehicle is described as Indigenous, with a heavy build. The suspect vehicle is an early 2000’s white Cadillac CTS.
